Nursery glider – Make more than an old chair paraglider in a stylish focal point for your nursery. If you have been given an old glider or have bought a new one you want to customize, there are options to add a modern touch to the candle. Use the paraglider as an opportunity to add a jolt of color or a graphic pattern for an otherwise neutral room.
Use a stitch remover or a razor blade to remove the current fabric of the cushions on the nursery glider. Whenever possible, open seams instead of creating rips or tears. Use the old fabric as a template for the new tissue. Pin template for the new tissue and mark any creases or folds of fabric with a pencil or marker disappear. Cut along the lines of the new template and sew together as cushions and armrests remove the pins.
Wash the wooden parts of the nursery glider with warm soapy water and let dry. Paint the chair and let dry completely. When choosing a color for wood, consider your overall design scheme for the room. For example, if the room is saturated with color, print and texture, you will have to choose between the existing colors or neutral.
