Nowadays, the possibility of coming down from any base camp in Mt. Aconcagua in no more than 15 minutes, enjoying the great views from the Park is a fact.

Especial Operation Conditions

The helicopter flights in high mountain zones have especial characteristics we need to consider to guarantee our clients’ security and comfort:

• The helicopter used to operate these flights is an ECUREUIL AS-350 B3.
• You will be given a take off schedule to be at the heliport. You must be at least 10 minutes earlier, without exception.
• For your own comfort and security when going up and down the helicopter, you will be accompanied by qualified personnel from our company.
• The helicopter can transport a maximum of load. This limits the hand luggage kilograms each person is allowed to take. The following chart shows how many kilograms each person is allowed to carry as hand luggage.

VERY IMPORTANT: you should consider that if you get down by helicopter and your belongings stay at the base camp, you will have to wait for the mule’s arrival with this at Puente del Inca. In case you do not want to wait for the mule’s arrival you will have to pay an extra fee so that our company takes your belonging directly to your hotel in Mendoza.

• The flight operation in the scheduled time will depend basically on 2 conditions:
  • Weather conditions, which are considered by the pilot and he is the one who gives the final authorization to operate the flight.
  • The priority of rescuing works by the park rangers.

Our flights can be delayed or modified by these two variables: either because we are waiting for a better weather condition or because we are waiting for the park rangers to stop using the helicopter.

• The time to operate the flights is usually early in the morning between 06.30 and 08.00 or in the afternoon between 06.30 and 08.00. There are days in which the climate conditions are excellent, and that is why we can operate flights at different times, but these are just exceptions.
